I got up this morning and headed out to the pharmacy to pick up last night’s meds. I found some gems while wandering there.

After grabbing my meds, I headed back to the hotel for an adjustment of bags. Also, I figured out a work around for the whole only being able to walk three feet before my lungs are screaming at me. A friend suggested seeing if I could rent a scooter for a couple of days. So I called a place this morning and they had some available. This should be a gigantic help. And I’ll actually probably get to see more since it moves faster than I walk without putting heavy strain on my lungs. I’ll look like an old lady, but at least I won’t lose out on this trip!
So with that solution, I once again headed out! The first destination was the Washington Monument. After asking a couple of questions there, I discovered that you take tours that take you up to those two little black dots at the top so you can look out over the city. Who knew!
After that, it was over to the WWII Memorial and the Reflection Pond. Insert more touristy pictures here...
When I finished up there, I grabbed some lunch at the museum café before heading into the United States Holocaust Memorial and Museum.
After the museum was a trip back to the hotel to change bags and head to dinner.

Tonight, I dined at Le Diplomate. It was a nice little French café. Dinner was French onion soup (which felt so good on my sore throat), and a gruyere omelet.
So for now I'm back in my hotel for the evening. Today was a much longer day than I anticipated. I checked and got some tickets for stuff in the city that I'm going to try to do on Thursday.
Tomorrow I wake up early so I can go to the Smithsonian Zoo. Then I'm going to try to hit at least one of the Smithsonian museums before I have my Washington Monument tour in the afternoon. Tomorrow for dinner is my very first Michelin starred restaurant, so be on the look out for that adventure!
