I legit had this whole blog written and was moving to my laptop to do the pictures and it got completely deleted. True Boston feels. 🤬🤬🤬

(I’ll try my best to remember what I wrote…)

So I woke up to the following text message…

The hits just keep coming! I went online to see what my options were and I rescheduled for Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM. With this newfound freedom, it was off to head to the city and figure out a game plan.

My first stop for the day: the New England Aquarium. I have to say, this is probably the favorite zoo/aquarium for the trip, and quite possibly ever.

I entered the aquarium and I just about lost my mind. Why? you ask? I’ll let the pictures do the talking…

Penglings!! And lots of them! I legit spent the first half an hour there staring longingly, quizzing the trainers and the vet who was there caring for them, and trying to convince them that they needed assistance with feeding them back and I’m so altruistic, I’d donate my personal time to assist. Needless to say, my arguments weren’t given merit.

So I decided to move on (so as to not look like a TOTAL creeper) and head to the next floor. I rounded the corner and surprise penglings!!

Cue being so excited, I *squee*ed. After regaining my composure, I headed on to the rest of the museum.

Before I left the museum, I hit the ray tank. I know, being a child of Florida, I’ve gotten to pet stingrays sooo many times, there’s nothing special to it. But I can’t resist it. It’s so cool!

After I finished at the gift shop, I headed out to the street vendors to figure out me next activity. Perfect! A DUKW (pronounced “duck” for all you uncultured swine out there) tour! So cool! “Beantown Betty” showed me the site of the Boston Massacre (and where they tell the tourists it happened to keep from having traffic impediments. I saw where the Declaration was read for the first time. Then we took a water tour up the James River.

After the duck tour, I wandered around downtown. I found a dispensary and did my civic duty and financially contributed to the welfare of Massachusetts. I did part of the Freedom Trail. I ended up by the Boston Museum of Science and decided to go in.

This museum wasn’t as epic as some of the other museums I’ve been to, but it was still awesome. This one had a Faraday cage! Unfortunately by the time I got to the museum, all of the shows where they set off a lightning bolt IN the museum were done for the day.

I headed back to the hotel and ordered some mediocre Italian food for dinner. I was figuring out the last of my trip and in talking to my friend, decided to end my trip with a stop in Virginia on my way home. I got all my travel arrangements set for that and then touched base with my college friend/former bridesmaid, Kat. We made plans to meet up on Sunday when I was in Salem. I made it an early night since I had such a busy day and I had a (replacement) whale watching tour to do.
