I woke up and said my goodbyes to New York. It’s inter because I’ve loved each section of my trip for entirely different reasons. DC was for the post-Declaration history. NYC was for the flux and glamour. Boston is for the pre-Declaration history.
I was running behind, so I pushed my train back by about an hour. This was the first of many mishaps for the day. I got to the station and grabbed a few last NYC must eats…
The train ride was peaceful. I had a seat to myself, so I was able to nap on my way to Boston.

I arrived at the station and headed to my hotel. When I got there, I was given the keys to my room.. one on the fourth floor… with no elevator… with a bum knee and a bad back. I asked if they could change my room, but the hotel was completely booked. So I had to change game plans. Try finding a hotel room in Boston when the Sox play the Yankees at home. i managed to find one closer into downtown, but 😬😬😬.
So by the time I got settled, it was creeping in on 7:30. I ordered some food and thought, okay… craziness is done… I can eat dinner… go to bed early so I can be ready for tomorrow’s whale watching tour… it’ll be a chill night.
Nope!

Cue anxiety rush. Will it be cancelled?
Stay tuned!
