After another phenomenal night of sleep, I got up and got ready because today was the day for the Museum of Modern Art. Since it’s Sunday, it didn’t open until 10:30, so that gave me a chance to be able to take my time and leisurely get ready this morning. It was a nice change of pace from the rush rush rush I’ve been in the past few days.

The main thing that I noticed about MoMA in contrast of the Met yesterday is how quickly I moved through the exhibits. It took me about half as long to get through this museum as it did the other one. I felt like the Met was a lot more densely packed than MoMA, so there was a ton more to see yesterday. Don’t get me wrong, there were still tons of exhibits — just not as many.

The fifth floor head a lot of the more “famous paintings“. Of course, I took pictures with a lot of them. The fourth floor had a lot more paintings, but not quite as many of the “famous“ ones.

The third-floor had a couple of specific exhibits. I moved these pretty quickly, because they didn’t really have much interest to me. One was about cars, and did an appeal. There was a room of Cezane drawings, and that was me, but again I couldn’t really catch my attention that strongly. The third one was a sculpture exhibit by someone whose name escapes me. It was me, but again not really my thing.

The second and first floors were mainly shop and member stuff, so I breezed through that. After those, I left the museum and wandered over to Times Square so I could do some shopping. So much fun!!! I got a milkshake (and then some) from the Hershey‘s store. I went to the Nintendo Store. It was just really fun.

After doing all that, I headed back to the hotel to catch a quick nap and get ready for dinner. Next to the hotel is a Morton’s Steakhouse so I ended up going there. my meal was beyond words. I decided I was going to have a drink for dinner and that ended up as a bonus. I told the waitress I’d never really had gin, and never had a Negroni, but I wanted to try one. She said it wasn’t a good out of the gate drink because it’s bitter and whatnot, so I ordered a sidecar instead. She brought me a “sip” of a Negroni so I could try it and my sidecar… I’m not sure how she sips…

When I finished, I went to the 9/11 Firehouse Memorial and to Liberty Park. The 9/11 Memorial and parks were closed so I couldn’t check those out.

I finished ups and headed back to my room. Tomorrow there is absolutely nothing on my calendar, so I’m gonna play it by ear. I might head straight to the Statue of Liberty and then back here for the WTC Memorial. Then I might head to Rockefeller Center so I can go to the top. I still haven’t found the Lincoln Tunnel or the World’s Greatest Coffee yet, but I’m sure I’ll get there!
