Inaugural Trip

I'm preparing for the inaugural trip that will be documented for this blog.

This first trip began with a desire to ride a train and a travel sale from Amtrak. Earlier this summer, Amtrak offered a rail pass that included ten stops within a thirty day period for $200. At the time, Covid was slowing and I thought it was a brilliant opportunity. I made grand plans to travel all up the East Coast of the US from my home in North Carolina.

Cut to August, when Covid numbers are surging due to the Delta variant. This surge seriously impacted the planned trip. I decided that it would be best to cut my trip back some and save those locations for another time. My edited trip has shaped up to be pretty impressive so far.

This blog will be for documenting my travels. Traveling is something that I am going to start doing as I have always limited myself in the past, due to a wide variety of factors. But that was the old me. The invigorated me has places to go and things to do.

So I hope you enjoy what I hope will become an impressive documentary of my various travels.
