Day seven started out as a regular day. I grabbed breakfast at McDonalds. Then I headed to the Smithsonian… specifically the Natural History Museum.
I enjoyed myself so much here. It was fascinating being surrounded by history. I was a bit nervous about going into the first exhibit…

After being scared to death about infections, I headed to the rock portion of the museum. It was fascinating. What I liked the most was how the exhibits flowed into one another. First I was looking at rocks and learning what earthquake zone I’m in, and the next thing I know I’m lustily staring at the Hope Diamond.
The dinosaur exhibit was amazing. How I’ve never seen dinosaur fossils before now, I’ll never know. But I was enthralled.
And no museum trip would be complete without mummies!!!
The bottom floor had some great exhibits. I ended up not taking a whole lot of pictures, but here’s some of what I did take.
After finishing here, I realized how exhausted I was so I went back to the hotel. I didn’t do much more yesterday, but that’s okay because today was action packed.
Maybe I will split the days into two… I wasn’t expecting today to be so exciting.
